After receiving a ton of feedback from our Closed Beta Test, we’re excited for even more players to try Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage, starting this week, with our newly announced Open Beta Test!
The Open Beta Test will focus on cross-platform online matchmaking across PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam).
Participation is open to all, without any active subscription to your preferred platform’s online service to play.*
Additional Note:
*Will be compatible with arcade stick-type controllers certified as PlayStation®4 Official Licensed Products on PS5 version.
Open Beta Test Schedule
October 1, 2025 (Wednesday) at 8:00 PM PDT – October 6, 2025 (Monday) at 7:59 PM PDT

How to Participate
On Steam:
- Visit the Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. store page.
- Click the “Request Access” button under Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Ver. Beta to gain access.
If you already installed the Closed Beta, you can access the Open Beta by simply launching that software.
On PS5 or Xbox Series X|S:
- Download the Beta from your console’s store page.
- If you have the Closed Beta installed, start that application while connected online to automatically update it to the Open Beta version.

Special In-Game Title for Beta Participants
As a “thank you”, participating players will receive a special commemorative in-game title: Virtua Team.
For Steam Players:
All players who own the full version of the game will receive the title after October 30, 2025.
For PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Players:
To qualify for the title, you must have Beta save data on your console when launching the full version of the game.
- Note: If you’re joining the Open Beta on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, you’ll need to link your Sega Account to claim this title. Take this opportunity to register your account!
Title Distribution Date:
October 30, 2025 (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S release).
